No sign of Him.

Nothing has happened all day. Maybe the move threw Him off? I don't know. The pictures seem to watch me, even when He isn't here, but things have been pretty calm today. I gotta tell you, though. Isaac is into some weird shit.

  1. Hm. What sort of "weird shit" is Isaac into?

Be careful if you sense something off about him. There are accounts of the Slender Man manipulating people into killing their friends and family. I don't know how true these are, as you must know how legends can get overblown at times, but then again, legends are usually based on something concrete.

  2. Does he wear a black hood trimmed in red?

That aside. Define weird. In as much detail as you can. This will help us identify if he's a threat. Is he near a forest? Does he watch where you go?

  3. Well, first of all, he's into Shadowrun. Which really isn't the weird part. He's into strange myths and legends. Like alternative creation myths and generally darker mythologies. He also gives me this... vibe. I can't really describe it well. He likes to take walks in the woods at night. He says it calms him down and helps him sleep. He's also constantly writing, which may or may not be weird.

  5. Get us pictures of the writing ASAP. Darker mythologies? Norse? Names please. Specifics help best here. When he's out in the woods snoop for us. Get a weapon on you to protect against Isaac. Get information and get out. Knowledge is going to be power. Can you get in with your family? Pick up a roommate in the CITY if you can. Get out away from nature. Be anti-transcendentalist.

Shadowrun ain't bad, but doesn't help his case.

  6. Well, if he's into mythological stuff, try telling him about Slenderman, ask if he has heard of him. If he did, ask his opinion, and go from there.

He sounds like he may have been stalked too, by the constant writing.

"those who see him are frequently found to be maniacally writing strange messages, and drawing mad scribbles of a dark, faceless figure."

  7. He won't let anyone READ his writings, let alone take a picture of them. I tried sneaking into his room last night, but he doesn't leave it very often, and when he does, it's only for short periods when he goes out to get food or go to the bathroom. He also takes them with him when he goes for his walks at night, so I basically have no chance to see them. As for the mythologies, they're really, really old things, all tacked up to this cork board, right? Almost all of them are about the birth of shadows or darkness. The creepiest one is about this being of light absorbing, DESTROYING, reality, to perfect the world and destroy all corruption and evil, only to be stopped by a group of immensly tall shadow beings who destroy themselves fighting against it, countering it's light with their darkness. And I don't know if this is significant, but there's this one short one on an incredibly brittle old piece of paper in the centre. The entire thing is in german, but the title looks like Der GroBman. I don't really think it means anything cause he doesn't even look at that one. Yesterday I watched him all day just to make sure he wasn't doing anything suspicious. Nothing strange as far as I can tell.

  8. "Der GroBman" IS Slender Man. I can't remember the exact reference, but I know he's been referred to by that name before.

Either way, you're not safe with Isaac. I recommend you get out of that house as soon as humanly possible. Find a hotel in the nearest city, as far away from trees as you can. Try to go for a busier part of town, too, since Slender Man seems to frequent empty streets.

  9. Wait, so we have Slender man protecting darkness. ANd another being trying to flood the world in light. Talk to Isaac about this, ask him questions. Find out where he stands on this. If he stands with the light being stay. Der Grossman is German for the Large man. Definitely a reference to Slender Man. Get information, it's your best weapon right now.

  10. Der Großmann appears in the German folktale that closely resembles Slenderman stories.
Here is an account from a journal, dating around 1702:

"My child, my Lars...He is gone. Taken, from his bed. The only thing that we found was a scrap of black clothing. It feels like cotton, but it is softer...thicker. Lars came into my bedroom yesterday, screaming at the top of his lungs that "The angel is outside!", I asked him what he was talking about, and he told me some nonsense fairy story about Der Großmann. He said he went into the groves by our village and found one of my cows dead, hanging from a tree. I thought nothing of it at first...But now, he is gone. We must find Lars, and my family must leave before we are killed. I am sorry my son...I should have listened. May God forgive me."

Going to the city might not help. There have been many accounts of Slenderman stalking people in the city.
    Do what you will.
